The Characters
Bram Dejonckheere: This sound young lad, born in the early 1985, grew up in Diksmuide. He was a decent student during his elementary and secondary school, but he started to grow a slight bit of hatred towards mathematics. He joined the youth movement, and joined the football club, and both grow out to be a success! He has a raging talent for sitedesigning. He works with Combell now and then, and his heart belongs to the lovely Tine!
Bruno Beheyt: This outkast and drugaddict is as old as his pal Bram, ~21, and grew up in the best city with the best football team in the world: Bruges. He struggled through secondary school and grew a passion for computers. So he went to study computer science at HoGent. Plays football and tennis, used to be in the scouts, used to play piano, used to play chess. A real hasbeen. He does some work in the Computerkliniek.
The get-together
Both men joined Hogeschool Gent, trying to learn more about computers and software. During the years they grew towards each other and they became quite good friends. Both chose to specialise in MultiMedia, as they both prefer sites above the normal software.
The project
The end of the third year: thesisyear! They needed to go and work in a company, OR they could go to another country to work there. It was obvious from the start that both wanted to go abroad and they prefered to go together. They wanted to go to the south, and picked Madrid as destination, in the hope to get to know a beautiful and interesting city, in the heart of a nice country, with an interesting culture. They got assigned to the universidad Politecnica of Madrid.
iMadrid.
As we have many fans and many teachers keeping an eagle-eye on us, we decided to make some kind of blog. This had to be custom made of course! On iMadrid you will be able to read all our adventures, see some pictures and be able to give some feedback. Why iMadrid.be? It all started when Bram chose iBram as his internet name. Bruno took it over for a laugh and so did Tim, a friend from the second year, who dropped out. We called ourselves i-Unit and put an i in front of everything so that is the story behind the i!
